Spice Up Your Sex Life

Description of Picture.

Marijuana may spice up your sex life: Not being one of the listed medical conditions for medical marijuana use, one of the known side effects of cannabis is sexual arousal. It is no news that cannabis has been used as an aphrodisiac in many cultures for centuries. Documented in old Chinese text, cannabis was used to increase sexual desire for hundreds of years. India dates back as far as the seventh century, closely followed by African cultures. But what about here in the United States?

Well, back in the mid 60's and early 70's during the hippy love movement it was all about sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll. Since then, marijuana has been used in movies and music videos as a sexy alternative to cigarette smoking. But, does it really make a difference in people’s sex life. For many, the answer is yes.

In a recent study, they found that men and women who used marijuana on a daily basis had around 20% more sex during a four-week study than those who did not use cannabis. Why? It’s all about less mental pressure and relaxation.

According to one sex therapist (Lawrence Siegel), the THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) in cannabis appears to target the part of the brain that is associated with sexual arousal, especially in females. THC can leave you feeling more relaxed, increase sexual arousal, and overall make sex even more enjoyable.

However, the way you use cannabis and the amount you use does make a difference. Vaporization, or smoking marijuana is the best way to control the dosage. In high doses, cannabis can have a negative effect and unpleasant high which can take place especially with edibles. Keep in mind that the strain of cannabis can have big effects. Sativa strains may increase anxiety, while Indica strains can make you more relaxed and appear to be more suited for sexual pleasure.

So, if you want to spice up your sex life a little without the side effects of prescription drugs, sit down with your partner, toke some up and enjoy the pleasure of a natural cannabis high.

Peace
